East Nusa Penida Island Exploration

Toyapakeh harbor

Early morning pick up at hotel and transfer to Sanur harbor. Take a 30-minute speedboat ride from Sanur Beach to cross Badung strait to Nusa Penida Island. Explore the island’s east coast in one day.

Begin your exploration tour of Nusa Penida’s east coast and visit the island’s most important Hindu temple located in a large cave called Goa Giri Putri which is located in the town of Sampalan. The impressive cave temple is accessible through a small very narrow passage that needs to be crawled through after ascending about 100 stairs up to the entrance. The cave is also popular as a sacred cave of purification and healing for Hindu Balinese pilgrims from the mainland. The spring water flowing through the temple is believed to be imbued with natural healing properties. The purification ritual inside the cave can take place for two and half hour, however the pilgrims can have it done quicker.
After the temple, see the whole seaweed making process at Semaya Seaweed Farm. Proceed to Atuh Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches of Nusa Penida. The beach is surrounded by limestone rock formations and green cliffs. Access to the beach is through steps on a steep rock cliff.

Stop at Diamond Beach, admire the stunning white sand beach, see the silky blue water, palm trees and limestone rocks and cliffs.

Molenteng Tree House, offers beautiful panorama of a tolls line up in the blue sea from the peak of Molenteng Hill. Also visit Tanglad Village which is one of the few places on the island where weaving the crafting of sarongs and traditional cloth is still maintained.

In the late afternoon, return to the jetty for speedboat crossing back to Bali, scheduled to depart at 16.30 pm. On arrival in Sanur transfer to hotel.
